Carbon Creek

Aired September 25, 2002

Shipper's dinner delight. Damn, dinner and a show, with T'Pol providing the entertainment. Trip loves a good story, and she aims to please.

SCENE ONE:

T'Pol allows herself a small indulgence.

"Make mine a large indulgence."

Archer toasts T'Pol's one year anniversary with Enterprise. Trip echoes the sentiment with "Here's to many more."

"Vulcans don't take vacations." Especially to Carbon Creek, PA.

"You had a personal matter in Carbon Creek, Pennsylvania?"

Trip wants the low down. T'Pol seems reluctant to share.

"Seems a little unfair. We tell her plenty of stories."
"You'd like me to tell you a story," T'Pol asks him?
"If it's a good one," Trip responds.

Trip has seen the statue commemorating first contact with the Vulcans, so he knows that T'Pol is incorrect
when she claims that first contact happened in Carbon Creek.
She assures him her second fore-mother was one of those who made first contact in the 1950s.
"Your who?"

"My mother's mother's mother. "

"Would you like to hear the story?"

SCENE TWO:

"T'Mir was your great grandmother?"

"I'd be the last person to question your math, but aren't you missing a few generations?"

Archer: "Don't forget how long Vulcans live."

"Riiggghhhttt. Just how old are you?'

Archer: "Trip, that's classified information."

SCENE THREE:

"I think that wine's gone to your head."

"What are you implying?"

Trip is more than sceptical. Vulcans hustling humans? TV dinners are the prize? Are you joking?

"If you're not interested in hearing the rest..."

T'Pol resumes the story.

SCENE FOUR:

Trip is incredulous. Does T'Pol realize she just rewrote human history?
It was a good story. "But did it really happen?"

"As I said, you asked me to tell you a story."

"Damn, Cap'n, she put one over on us."

Archer: "You've certainly kept us entertained."

Eight hardy souls have made comments

That picture above "I think that wine's gone to your head" could make a nun sneak out of a convent for the weekend. Lord have mercy it's obscene how handsome that man is.

T'Pol looks SOOOOO baked with the caption "What are you implying".

I'm implying Archer's gotta go, we've got the stars.... "We've got tonight..."

T'Pol needs to get Trip to beg a lot more often. It's very becoming of our Chief Engineer. I'll be over there in the corner swooning.

so much great interaction in such a short amount of time.
yo did miss one great shot.
it comes in the middle of the mine rescue story when archer asks didnt people wonder how the miners were rescued.. when the camera pops back to the trio trip is sitting there with his chin cupped in his hand as he turns and gives jon a look of hey you interrupted my story..

i also like the looks of jon and trip as they watch t'pol leave

I agree, it should be illegal to be that damn cute in the wine caption. Bwa ha ha! So much awsomeness!

Trip and T'Pol 4ever!! :-)

Was that or was that not non verbal communication? I mean, she just had to look to give him a look and he gave her one back and she knew exactly what he'd not even said. And that doesn't just happen.

And she tolerates his occasional stupidity more than anyone else's.

i am going to tape and then fast scan through carbon creek on rerun this week just to see if they sneak in an extra trip/t'pol moment..

if you want to see silent trip and t'pol interaction minefield is also great for it.

and what is interesting not only does t'pol tolerate well trip being trip (though he has vastly improved since they first met) she also can tell when his actions are out of character as in singularity..
