Chosen Realm

Chosen Realm, aired 1/14/04

I'll get to tonight's episode, but first a preview of a February episode.

Power fluctuations.

************

OK, on to Chosen Realm. No Trip and T'Pol scenes but at least it was a good story!

zealousgirl's Special Edition Report of Chosen Realm has been posted.

As always, Trip is thinking of T'Pol and her science projects - "That's the last sensor sweep....

...Should give T'Pol plenty to chew on for a while."

Trip is pleased they are getting the hang of navigating power fluctuations and the cloaking barrier.

Unbeknownst to them, Trip and Travis are being watched...

...by a zealot named D'Jamat.

An alien ship is in distress. Archer is willing to help but, GASP!!!!, actually asks for security and the aliens to be scanned for weapons! Even though sensors show the aliens have minimal defences! A new Archer, indeed!

D'Jamat joins Archer and T'Pol for dinner to discuss spheres in the Chosen Realm (the expanse). The spheres, D'Jamat informs them, were created by "Makers" and are sacred. T'Pol rounds the numbers of spheres down from thousands to 59. A biting exchange about science versus religion as a basis for counting spheres ensues between T'Pol and D'Jamat. My, my, T'Pol sounded as aggrieved about the dissing of her love, science, as Trip does when others don't venerate his engines.

The conspirators, but the young one, Yarrick, will prove to be an ally. They successfully take over the ship because they have...organic explosives inside their bodies! Drat! Outmaneuvered again! Archer can't catch a break with these aliens in the expanse.

Archer goes to Engineering to tell Trip about the developments. When Trip looks like he might even say something, Archer grabs him and hussles him away.

Oh, Trip, don't you know Archer isn't about to let anything happen to you? Whew! Quite the little protective display by the Captain.

"Make yourself at home."

T'Pol strikes a 'tude towards the new captain. Must be a new day - she has changed her lovely blue for the equally attractive purple.

And then, stunning in red, T'Pol uses the transporter to "kill" Archer - hey, Archer did have a trick up his sleeve! Those aliens aren't as up on the latest in human technology as they should be - they fell for the old "we use this device to execute people" ploy Archer fed them.

Trip has no idea what is wrong with the warp engines. Hey, that guy over there was watching Trip's every move!

What follows is a nice series of Trip pics, since there was very little Trip in this ep.

Still captivating in red, T'Pol tries to overpower one of the aliens who is...can you believe it?...sitting at her station blowing up other aliens using her console! The nerve!

T'Pol decides not to share everything that happens on the bridge with Mr. Tucker.

But maybe this device will come in handy if Commander Tucker steps out of line at any time. Either that or she will disrobe - she hasn't decided which yet.

Once Archer saves the day, T'Pol leaps to fill in for Hoshi at the communication console and makes that all important connection to the other alien ship so that Archer can bring peace to the galaxy before the credits roll.

T'Pol cycled through her whole wardrobe in one episode! Back to the blue. Did she have time to do laundry during the events? Or does she have more than one blue outfit? Oh, sorry, and the aliens return to their planet to find that 8 months before the fighting factions had blown each other to smithereens.

Thankfully, you can refer to Zealousgirl's Special Edition, because I'm sure I have confused all of you about the events of this episode.

A whole mess of folks have made comments

Holy....hot....smoking.....

:::::THUD::::::

The easily outraged and the delicate are going to throw a fit. He hee hee hee heeee heeeee. Let them.

*gasp*
Words...
Words fail me at this moment.

$%^%*&%^%$^%$&^%^$%# I can't even begin to articulate what seeing this means. I've been staring at it for the better part of three full minutes. God I can't wait. This is torture

Woo hoo!

I can't say anything beyond what they^ have, so I'll ask a question. What's that out the window?

Oh. My. GOD!!!!!

I am...I mean...He and the--she...and they--

*continues to stare unable to wipe the grin off my face*

Heh. T'Pol has a mole on her right shoulder. I wonder if Trip will put the knowledge to good use?

*blink*
*blink*

Oh my...
My thanks for the screencaps (especially the first five - I missed the promo when it ran.)

*scrolls back up to stare some more*

Great caps as usual, myst! Trip made the most of his limited screen-time (emphasis on the "limited") but you're right when you said it was a good story. I found the actor who portrayed D'Jamat very convincing!

And might I just add that I'm glad you captured the Feb sweeps promo!:-)

In the Feb Sweeps screencaps, are they both on their knees? It just seems that T'pol is 'taller' than Trip, which isn't right, right?

But...wow! Can't wait to see that one - it will be a lot more fun writing my special edition when there is actually some more Trip/T'pol moments, unlike tonight's ep.

Great Job as usual myst with the screen caps - I don't know if my special edition will clear up the story for those who haven't seen it. I find it difficult to get enthusiastic about writing Archer'centric episodes.

Looks like Trip's eyes are closed. That poor bastard has *no* idea what she's gonna do.

HA!

I just realized that looking at those caps again. When she plants one on him, he's going to be one shocked engineer.

I think Trip's eyes are indeed closed in the first promo, talk about being surprised. So I guess T'Pol is the one making the moves on him, good girl.

Wow!I have to say those pictures for Harbringer make look forward to see this show even more.like the Chosen realm pictures great job Myst as always. Thanks for putting up the Harbringer pics my station doesn't show previews for Enterprise.

Oh Thanks for already posting! Especially the preview clips. I can't wait! You've obviously made a lot of people very happy. This has almost made up for the lack of Trip/T'Pol moments last night!

How'd you get those first few pictures? I was surprised they didn't show a promo for next weeks episode. They usually do which made me mad.

The first pics above were part of a "what's on UPN in February promo" that aired about 2 minutes into the show following Enterprise. I had heard the clip existed, so watched for it.

The promo for next week's episode was not aired, but a couple of people found it at startrek.com - you can see it there by clicking on Episode Preview:

OHHHHHH........MY............

Thanks for the first few pics!!!!!! Holy CRAP! I hope we get that promo here....but I doubt we will. I want Jolene's job!!!!

As always, great pics and fast too!

Can't breathe...can't breathe...

Holy freakin' mother friggin' crap and a half!!!

WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! Even better than I could have imagined!!

I cannot believe they are gonna make us wait until February.

Quizzical eyebrow raises, as must repress emotions. True reaction would make the cat on my knee tear it to shreds, she doesn't appreciate me bouncing around with joy!!!!!!!
Fabulous pics by the way, I now have to try and absorb the Chosen Realm pics, I was in too much shock to take notice!!!!!!

Great photos as always! For a moment there I thought you snuck onto the set and took pictures, Heh, heh! I just hope this doesn't get so hot and heavy that it becomes the only storyline and a soap opera. Much more fun and enjoyable guessing what the characters are thinking about each other and watching the interplay. Also, let's not forget Archer, could be a whole lot of jealousy there about Trip getting T'Pol. I haven't rewatched the episode so I'm not sure Archer was being protective or angry that Trip would go against his orders and interfere.
So here's hoping it's a good story and they handle this storyline with care!

The Watch Stander, people on the HoTBBS are pretty split about the scene between Trip and Archer. I honestly saw it as Archer thinking "I just compromised my integrity, my ethics, my humanity to save his life (Similitude) and he is going to get killed mouthing off? Not if I can help it!" Others thought it another example of Archer showing no respect for his officers, so focused on the mission he dismisses and squashes their concerns and input. If there is any follow up to the scene (don't hold your breath, though!) we may find out whether this incident becomes a wedge between Trip and Archer.

quills has started a bet on the HoTBBS whether the scene with T/T is just a very intimate neuropressure session or whether it is actually somthing more. I bet that it is just a very intimate neuropressure session which makes Trip very uncomfortable so he leaves!

I didn't much care for this episode for the simple reason of only watching Enterprise for Trip and T'Pol scenes. As far as I could tell there were none in this particular ep (I missed the first 10 minutes or so) but I wanted to check out the caps anyway. Man, am I glad I did. The top of the page is definitely something to look forward to.

*looks at the first few screen caps, gapes, starts jumping and around happy* YAY :D eh sorry, my shipper within got the best of me..... hehehehe I liked this ep, well written, wrought with emotion and struggle

Yes, I considered after the first bit of shock wore off that those caps might be of a neuropressure session. Now that I think about it, I'm inclined to say that it is. I don't think that if Trip and T'Pol were having an argument about the MACO, he would be sitting there calmly with his eyes closed. Plus, the contemplative look on T'Pol's face suggests that she is concentrating very hard on making this professional and clinical. TEE HEEE, and failing miserably!!! Anyway, just my thoughts.

AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! well now that I've got that out of my system... absolutely love the caos at the top and what the hell is wrong with trip? OPEN YOUR EYES MAN! i can't stop grinning! must wait until february, must wait until february... ah it's no use. love othe caps for this entirely too frustrating episode. see ya next week!

goes back to the top to stare at caps... drool....

With ab all too active imagination, I present my speculation about the preview caps {Myst, you have fed this hopeless romantic's dreams for sometime.} - this is the "after" scene - T'Pol who has already taken possession is merely dotting her i's and crossing her Trips.

Holy poop on a stick! My eyes have frozen. I can't stop staring. And as a Stargate fan as well, words cannot tell how much I'm going to need "Harbinger" to keep me sane.

I'm soooooooooo looking forward to seeing harbinger in february. You did an awesome job on the caps Myst. Choosen Realm was alright, disappointed there was no T/T. I have to admit I watch enterprise only for the T/T scenes.:):):)

I guess that T'Pol's going for some of that really advanced neuropressure in the promo clip.
Let's hope that this doesn't turn out to be an alternate timeline, an alien posing as T'Pol or something else equally lame.

This show desperately needs depth, and having Archer emote his a** off and demonstrate his all around superguyness as he saves the day every episode isn't going to do it for them. You might as well call it Quantum Leap in space.

They need subplots, and an ongoing interspecies romance between an austere, logical Vulcan like T'Pol and happy-go-lucky cracker like Tucker is a rich vein indeed. They need to ramp up the arguments and let the sparks fly.

Ha! Great caps. This could have nothing to do with sex of course. T'Pol is actually very logical in her methods. The next step up from neuropressure, lick-o-pressure, is far more effective naked. With lots of chocolate syrup.

Woah! Can't wait for February. As for this episode, why don't they get some killbots or something? Every idiot alien in the universe is taking over the ship. In the words of Bender, 'ah well, we can always build more killbots.'

I was at work and happen on this site. I almost fell out my seat. My mouth is still hanging open.I cant't wait until it airs. I already plan to take off work to see it. Ha Ha' I will also be recording it so that I can get my fix over and over.....

I had to scroll down fast when THOSE pictures started to appear on my monitor! Was that really Trip and T'Pol? Is there a catch to this?

OMG!!! OMG!!! Where can I see the source of the first ones?

I just can said O my God
i can't believe what i see
I'm come from holland and there we not finist by seison 2 jet when i say that t'pol and trip a relation schip have in seison 3 My mouth hanging open. but what i now see . i going to have a hartatack

I missed this episode, which means I didn't get to see the promos for February! But now I'm really excited...it's finally happening or at least beginning to I'm not sure what the writers have up their sleeves! I really want to see the promos now!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!

I saw the actual promo tonight, when I was rewatching "Proving Ground" and let it run into the few minutes of that model show, and I have one thing to say.

Trip's eyes are definitely open. You can't really tell, except his head is following her every movement.

*cannot WAIT for Harbinger*

~Rogue

Can I just say, about piccies 3&4 of Chosen Realm,-in the stuttlepod, I do believe- yummmmmm! CT, stop being so damn delicious!!!!!!!!
