Harbinger - Part 1
Harbinger, aired 2/11/04
Excellent Trip and T'Pol! The two are going to drive us crazy just as
they are determined to drive each other crazy...or wild...or something!
Anyway, this episode is in three parts because I got carried away with
the screen caps. I will try to do captions before I leave for the
weekend.

Part One
 Trip is massaging the foot
of...
 ...someone *not*
T'Pol! What is he thinking? Amanda and Trip enjoy a nice, intimate
discussion about Malcolm and Hayes and the tensions between Malcolm and
the MACOs.
 A thank
you.
 "Well!"
 "That was unexpected."
Amanda tells Trip to consider the
kiss a little warning of what is to come for next time.
 Trip is somewhat
intrigued!
 Uh, oh,
Phlox reports Trip's extracurricular activities to T'Pol.
 Amanda Cole is receiving Vulcan
neuropressure from Commander Tucker.
The return of the crossed arms, first seen in Unexpected when T'Pol
found out Trip was pregnant - a sure sign she is not pleased with her
human.
 Phlox has spoken
with Cole, and requests T'Pol speak with Trip. "Gladly," T'Pol responds,
holding the piece of equipment Phlox hands her and looking like she is
wishing it is Commander Tucker's neck.
 Phlox notices T'Pol looks
distracted and asks if everything is alright. Yes, she
responds.
 One last
request - would T'Pol give Amanda neuropressure to undo some of Command
Tucker's work. T'Pol looks less than pleased by that request.
A vessel is discovered on sensors.
The crew goes to find it and discovers it caught in a bubbly mess - a
convergence of anomalies.
In one of Archer's brighter moves,
they use the grappler to try to fish the vessel out and get dragged in.
The ship is enveloped in the mess.
 Thrusters aren't working. Archer
orders Trip to back them out...
 ...and Trip does so successfully.
The vessel is brought on board.
Archer orders T'Pol to work with
Trip to see what can be discovered about the alien, found in the vessel,
by a close examination of the vessel.
The MACOs are going to train the
senior officers in some new defensive techniques.
Trip doesn't even hesitate - he
heads right for Amanda.
T'Pol is paying close attention to
Trip and Amanda - T'Pol, your sparring partner is the other
direction!

 The pesky MACO keeps interrupting
T'Pol's concentration on Commander Tucker. She wacks the MACO about and
gets back to her spying.

 T'Pol is appalled when that
woman touched her human's behind.

The MACO swings his fist and knocks
T'Pol down.
 Poor
T'Pol.
 Trip and Amanda
look at each other, then at T'Pol lying on the floor. This was not a
stellar moment for T'Pol.
 T'Pol initiates the discussion
about Corporal Cole's neuropressure sessions and the headaches the woman
is experiencing. Amanda had never said anything to Trip. "Perhaps she
didn't want to worry you," T'Pol responds.
 Trip: Why would neuropressure be
the cause? T'Pol: It shouldn't be performed by novices. If misapplied,
you could cause nerve damage.
Trip: I performed it on you plenty
of times. T'Pol (almost snapping at him): Under *my*
supervision.
 Trip: I
see. You want to supervise me and Corporal Cole?
T'Pol: I think it would simply be
best if you ended the sessions.
Trip: Amanda won't be too happy
about ending the sessions. T'Pol: I'm sure she won't. Trip: What do
you mean by that?
T'Pol: I've noticed that you and
Corporal Cole have become somewhat friendly. Trip (repeating her word):
Friendly.
 T'Pol: Last
week you were eating together in the mess hall and in the training session
yesterday she touched your behind.
 Trip starts laughing. T'Pol is
*not* amused. Trip: You've been keeping a pretty close eye on
us.
 T'Pol: You're hard
to miss.
 Trip: Look,
Amanda and I just share a lot of interests, that's all. We both come from
Florida...
 T'Pol:
There's no need to justify your behavior. I'm simply suggesting you might
use some discretion.
 Trip (repeating her word again):
Discretion.
 T'Pol: It's
not appropriate for a senior officer to fraternize with a
subordinate. Trip: She's not Starfleet. There's nothing inappropriate
about it.
Fortunately for T'Pol, some interesting readings appear and she can run
away to report them to Archer.
