ImpulseImpulse, aired 10/8/03 zealousgirl's Special Edition Report of Impulse has been posted.
(Editorial note: Sorry, that is my love of Soval overcoming reason - I
do actually like Archer this season.) (Editorial note: I don't like Hope and Crosby pictures, so am looking
for someone to re-establish Trip's rep in my eyes. Of course I'm so
infatuated with the charcter I can see myself out trying to find a classic
Hope/Crosby movie to watch this weekend. Trip has A GREAT DEAL to answer
for. ) The "resident" insomniac? Hmm, T'Pol is suspicious - Trip told her all
was well and here she finds him late at night with Archer apparently still
suffering from insomnia. Is he using the same line on her and on Archer?
So, did Soval get T'Pol transferred because the Seleya was headed for
the expanse? T'Pol was on earth for 2 years prior to Enterprise. How long
would it have taken the Seleya to reach the expanse? Is there any
connection between the timing of T'Pol's transfer to earth and the mission
of the Seleya? (Oh, we do love a mystery!) OK, a quibble none-the-less. Why did Archer and T'Pol go in one
direction, and both the security men go in another? Why didn't one
security person accompany each of the non-security personnel? We actually see T'Pol snap at someone other than Trip! ... and she only
snaps at Trip because...well, how else is she supposed to get his
attention with all these other attractive humans distracting him?
Trip and Phlox, the two who challenge T'Pol to think outside her Vulcan
heritage, are there, taunting her and teasing her to continue to do so.
This is a very comfortable scene - she clearly trusts these two men even
as she teases them. They are at her back, buttressing her to challenge her
preconceptions. Once they are gone...
A whole mess of folks have made commentsYou have done an astounding job of keeping up to date! THANK YOU! Finially a good pic page that stays up to date! THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST STAR TREKS I HAVE EVER SEEN! I LOVED IT! T'POL COULDN'T HAVE PLAYED THE PART BETTER! Yeah myst! You caught me 2 favorite expressions here. Trip's mock indignation in the dream sequence; and his smirk in the command centre after the 'resident insomniac' comment. Keep up the great work. Thanks for the screen caps. You've gotten some greats shots, especially the two zealousgirl mentioned: Trip's "resident insomnia" smirk and the Movie night Trip pleasantly surprised by Kitten-with-a-whip T'Pol. ;) There are some great framed shots, I love the one of the two of them facing Archer in front of the star charts. The lighting guys really did a great job in some of the scenes. Plus, that Purple outfit really suits T'Pol, the aubergine color is very becoming on her. She looks lovely in the shot right after the one of the black-and-white movie they are watching, she has a curiously wistful expression on her face. -Delirium Great pictures from a one of Enterprise's best episodes thanks for the great pictures I really lkie the movie night pictures. Ooooooohhhh! A Purplr Suit!!!!! I jusdt had to say that! I Loved the way you captured Trip's mock indignation while they were watching the movie, and did you guys notice that trip always sits behind her on movie night? I also noticed that Trip always seems to be with the doctor when he is analyzing t'pol's medical problems?(ie. last episode and the one before...) can't wait for the rest of the dialgue, great work as always, not off to read some fan fics!!! (runs to grab snacks) LATER!!!!! Awesome as usual! Poor T'Pol really looked shattered at the end, didn't she? Jolene Blalock did one heck of a job. I do hope they give her a break in the future, though. Poor girl's been through the ringer! And I just LOVED the Trip/T'Pol scene at the beginning. They are just so adorable together! I also liked the fact that Trip was in T'Pol's dream but Archer was no where in sight! :-) Thanks for the great pics! Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful job capturing the perfect scenes. I hope you'll be adding additional comments for each pictures. I love that too. I LOVE the 9th pic from the top! And Trip's expression after being shooshed. That was fantastic! I'm glad T'Pol is dreaming about Trip and not Archer. She's smitten! I liked this episode a lot! Well, I like any episode that features a lot of T'Pol, and this was awesome! The T/T moments were classic, and I agree with the captions. The only things I didn't like were: 1) How everyone keeps touching her. You know, helping her climb into and out of stuff. It's very gentlemanly, but she's a Vulcan-they don't touch. It's excusable for the end, but the beginning? Whatever. And it's always Archer in her face! That man has a problem with invading personal space! 2) Why is she naked beneath those blankets?? Poor thing will get cold! Don't they have medical gowns or something? Or they could have gotten a pair of her gray underthings. Okay, thats the end of my rant. Thanks for the awesome pics, though it might be nice to see a few shots of her pushing Malcolm, or maybe throwing the circuits at him and Archer. And maybe that scene where Archer literally grabs T'Pol by the waist and swings her around. Just a suggestion. Oh, and one last thing: to anyone who's confused, I am the same person
as Aratte. Got it? Aratte=Eratta. It was a name change to protect my
privacy. k, I'm done now Jolene should be nominated hands down for a Saturn award again this year for her performance in this episode. She did a crackerjack job. I liked the comment about Trip and T'Pol being so right together--and thanks for leaving with me the jem of a thought that Trip WAS in her dream and not the 'Cap'n,' even though she was compelled to put him in his place. This really was a disturbing episode for our Vulcan 'sweetie.' I wonder if Trip was given a blow-by-blow description from Malcolm of T'Pol's sad misfortune aboard the Vulcan vessel, attributable to the Trellium-D effects? Beautiful job of screen capturing as usual! First to some comments - I agree with Eratta about the touching of
T'pol. She's a strong Vulcan, for heaven's sake, so she should need no
help in getting from place to place. If it's Jolene who needs help, then
film it differently boys. I also agree regarding the naked below the
sheets part. HOw gratuitous! The boys are always wearing something in
sickbay. I thought her acting was right on though. She sure waited a long
time in the movie sequence to tell those Trip and Phlox to shut up,
though! Love the caps. They had me reliving the lovely moments. ;) Excellent caps as always myst :-) I was thinking that in the dream part where it seems Trip and Phlox are speaking so loudly, we notice that T'Pol is well aware of every word, while the rest of the viewers don't appear to notice. That's very surrealish dreamlike, but may also suggest the fact that T'Pol's hearing is so much more acute in real life, that even though the two men may have been whispering back and forth quietly, it comes through loud and clear to her keen ears. About the touching.. I'm having a wonderful fantasy of how the confrontation would have gone if it had been Trip there instead of Archer.. 'I see it now... you've always desired me haven't you?! That's why you
were wheedling Archer behind my back to start Movie Night again.. YOU
wanted to ask me on a date! That's why you jumped to the conclusion that I
was offering sex! That's what YOU were thinking about isn't it?! That's
why you're always trying to seduce me with food! Seriously, or not, after Trip hears from Malcolm how passionately angry and wild she was, he's got to at least wonder if she feels other passions, but just hides them!! Great screencaps but I have to defend "my guy" - I took Trip's comments about the crew's morale and the suggestion of a HOPE and Crosby movie as the writer's subtle tribute to Bob Hope's passing and all of the work he did to support military troups in the past. Looking forward to the rest of the season! I love the screen caps and the comments! This episode was good, but from a military point of view I think that the Enteprise script writers need to be beaten. If the MACOs are a military organization, they're not going to allow two senior officers to wander off into a dark tunnel without a military escort. I guess they couldn't come up with a more creative means of trapping Archer and T'Pol in tight quarters with a bunch of crazed Vulcans. I can however, respect the whole scene with the MACO setting his weapon to kill. That's a big thing over in Iraq now, since many soldiers feel a lot safer shooting anything that violates their 10 ft zone of security. Seriously though, how come T'Pol didn't break somebody's arm? Everybody was touching her left and right in this episode. Ahh! Thanks, LoveThatTrip. I didn't even think of that - yes, a tribute to Bob Hope. I feel a dunce! the movie according to morpheus over on the trek bss was appointment
with danger what an apt title considerig what happened later.. sniff sniff.. some great captions myst.. One does wonder if star charts were on her mind. I mean when has she even shown that much interest in the star charts..
so far they In extinction she didnt seem to overly interested when he called her
away to come and bask So was star chart something she in deseperation to hide her true
interst.. I mean look at Archer and Trip.. Archer keeps on calling her away from Trip.. but since Trip is with him
in Impulse he dosnt see the need to bother her And as soon as Trip is alone with Jon here she shows up.. steps right in between them as if she is restaking her claim and she dosnt bother to turn to archer when he walks away. As for ship wars remember in singularity when Jon wanted to shoot
Malcolm( probably after hearing trip invited mal to lunch in the captains
mess (lol) ;) loved the screen caps, but you didn't get any with her and the MACO guy who was quite pleasent. Still they do torture us shippers Notice when T'Pol goes schizo and gets paranoid while on the Vulcan ship, she accuses Archer of trying to undermine her work, but not Trip, who was in the same room at the same time as Archer? I think that shows who she trusts and who she's still unsure about pretty well, don't you? ;) T'pol was in SICKBAY after being affected by Trillium-D! Phlox had to check her phically to make sure none of the stuff was still on her. Just flipping through these again and fell in love with pic no.9, that look Trip is giving her is delicous, I can't believe I've never noticed it before!!!! Return to Image Gallery menu |
