Anyone know what's in the bowl? Bandybones also saw it in the last episode. An intriguing, symbolic still life or just a bowl of rocks or nuts?


Trip needs T'Pol to go a little harder.


T'Pol is pleased he has been practicing his breathing.


[aside] Hmm, check out CT's chest.


Has CT shaved his chest again? That needs to stop! But how handsome Trip looks! Back to the commentary[/aside]


We need to talk.


Trip bursts into song: "Don't sigh and gaze at me, Your sighs are so like mine,
Your eyes mustn't glow like mine, People will say we're in love!"
T'Pol: Commander, are you feeling alright?
Trip: People are gossiping T'Pol. Malcolm thinks we are doing more than neural pressure.



T'Pol: We are both senior officers. If we were pursuing a romantic relationship, it wouldn't be Lieutenant Reed's concern, would it?
Trip: I suppose not.
T'Pol: Shall we continue?

Archer, Trip, and Malcolm go the the planet to try to find a chemist who can sell them the recipe for Trellium D.


Don't you just love Trip in his long away coat? I tried to get a good shot of him in it, but no luck. This is the best I can do. But his walk through the bazaar was a treat!


OMT will be the negotiator.


The Spice Boys return to complete the transaction! Black pepper, paprika, and Trip's fav, cayenne. Trip and Malcolm get the recipe for Trellium D and make a dash back for the ship.

Trip explains how dangerous the procedure will be.


T'Pol tells Archer she and Mr. Tucker will work on the project because she believes they can safely synthesize the compound. They will work on E Deck within the emergency bulkheads as a precaution.


T'Pol and Trip look at each other, giving each other courage to do this task

In the lab. The stuff is tricky.


Unit pressures are rising - things are not going well.


"Damn it!"


T'Pol hears Trip's curse and looks towards him with a concerned look.


Kill the theta radiation all together.


No effect.


T'Pol tells Trip they should seal off this section and leave. He continues to work and tells her to leave if she wants.

We get to see the two work together. T'Pol is definitely the cautious one and Trip tries to problem solve by intuition and experimentation. T'Pol hangs in there as long as she can, but when...


...the alarm goes off., T'Pol nearly shouts "Commander!" Trip turns and follows her from the room...


...just in the nick of time.


T'Pol: "Some of our calculations may have been...slightly off." That Vulcan sense of humor! And lovely understatement!


Trip: We're back to square one.


T'Pol: We've been working for 6 hours. I suggest we take a break. Come to my quarters in half an hour. We'll resume your neural pressure regimen.


Trip tells her he will be fine, but she wants him rested before they make another attempt.

Trip nods in agreement. What an obedient man (when he isn't being the mad scientist)! Gotta love him!


The alien woman, Rajiin, Archer picked up on the planet puts the moves on T'Pol - what does she want from T'Pol?


It's half an hour later to the second and Trip is at T'Pol's doorstep. But where is his love?




Trip's wired to open the door. How convenient!


T'Pol is unconscious on the floor! Trip rushes to her side and feels for a pulse! Getting ready to snatch her up into his arms...


...Rajiin wacks him over the head with something breakable and escapes.


T'Pol is lucky to be alive. Were she human, she would be dead.


Archer tells Trip to get his head checked out. Archer didn't seem very concerned about the welfare of his two closest friends. DarkArcher is definitely intriguing - what is going on with him?


A bunch of Xindi come on board, there's a fight, the Xindi get Rajiin. In the process, one Xindi soldier commits biological suicide (he's just wired that way). Trip, T'Pol, Archer and Phlox discuss what to do next in sickbay.


Archer tells Trip to have Malcolm figure out how the weapons used work.


Archer asks T'Pol if she is OK. When he hears a positive response, he tells her to get back to work. Good thing T'Pol is a Vulcan and doesn' take offense at Archer's attitude - a human who had done as much as she has for Enterprise would have been a bit more snarky in response.

A good T/T episode! Lots of lovely interaction. It was wonderful to see them work together.

A whole mess of folks have made comments

The opening scenes with T'pol and Tucker . . . youza. . . . they generate heat without so much as a kiss

I totally agree... And is it just me or does Trip's voice just get realllly soft and gentle (and somehow sexy) during those neuropressure-sessions?

His voice gets soft and sexy around T'Pol, period. Well, when they're not bickering. Or doing any work-related stuff.

My question is this: Why does T'Pol keep the jammies on during these sessioins? Before I thought it was always a late-night thing, but this episode reveals this session to be a break. Like, let's take a nap before we try this Trellium D thing again.

Very interesting episode in terms of Trip and T'pol. He seems a lot more comfortable with her in her quarters, though it seems like their practice of neuropressure is moving along quite well, with Trip dutifully doing his homework.

I didn't know if the rumors were bothering him on account of people talking about him...or if it is T'pol's reputation that he was worried about. He seemed very pleased that this did not bother her in the least. I was more than a little surprised that in her response about the rumors, T'pol not only didn't seem surprised that the crew might think that, but also very clearly left it open that they could have a romantic relationship. She stated "if we WERE to have a romantic relationship, it would not be any of their concern, would it?" and not something more definitive like "their concerns are groundless because I would never initiate a romantic relationship with a human..." or something like that. *ding, ding, ding, that door is wide open Trip.*

In the scene where they are explaining to Archer how they will try to cook up a batch of Trellium-D, I did notice a great deal of eye contact from T'pol to Trip as she is relaying her section of the information to Archer. I know signs that I've rewatched their scenes too many times, but while she is talking to Archer, she glances quickly in Trips direction at least 3 times as in keeping in constant non-verbal communication with him. The last time being when she suggests they set up shop in the emergency bulk head area for safety's sake as if she is checking if this is okay with him.

I also agree with zealousgirl's assesment of the exchange after the experiment goes "Boom", where T'pol directs Trip to her quarters to continue the neuropressure, "Whipped already Trip?" That didn't take too long. ;) Though I'm not using the word "whipped" (nor do I think zelousgirl is either) in a negative context (though the word generally does have a bad context) but in the good P-Power sort of way which could portend many a good thing for Dear Commander Trip.

What B&B are giving us Trip and T'Polers at the outset of season 3 is like dream come true. Sometimes I must pinch myself and repeat that this is really happening on my set's screen. I'm not closing my eyes and cooking up the aspirations in my brain. As always, great captures. What creatures of habit we are. After last night's episode I was already thinking ahead to this portending site's beautiful caps. Trip and T'Pol...the hottest, and handsomest pair in T.V. land!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! finaly some comments on the late night trip's to t'pol's quarters(pun intended)! and she was practically screamin' ask me out! now that that's out of my system, love the caps, great as always! loved how she wouldn't leave him during their science experiment, there was so much shippage in this episode it almost makes up for the major stomach turnin' shippage of A/T'P, almost. Again great pix, now hurry up and post the dialogue!

Great caps as always. I can't wait for your captions. The opening Trip/T'pol was their best yet; whoever said above that they generate so much heat without even a kiss was right on. I thought my tv would melt!

I love the pictures in T'Pol's quarters, is it me or does the sub-commander look especially beautiful in those scenes. The level of trust and comfort between them is so palpable not just in those private moments, but also when they were working on the experiment. I know its not going to happen, but I would love to see an entire episode with just those two.

Awesome pictures. Where'd you get them? I loved the interaction with Trip and T'Pol. Really left the door open for something more!!!!! Yippee

About T'Pol in her jammies for these.. well, in the first instance, it *was* bedtime. Right after that scene we see Archer tossing and turning in his sleep. And after the mishap in the lab, I think maybe she was getting ready for bed too? Archer and Rajin had been having dinner when Trip called and said they were 'in business' - and then the Captain goes there and they explain what they are about to do - then later, T'Pol remarks they'd been working 6 hours... that's gotta put their break coming at midnight or after, right? (We also saw Archer sitting around in his cabin in his Tshirt and shorts, so probably pretty late in the evening, when Rajin began her scanning prowl through the ship I think). So, not only time for Trip's neuropressure, but it would in fact be bedtime I think, so her pj's make sense.

Beautiful pictures in the first scene between them. T'Pol really is lovely, she looks radiant :-) And Trip's pupils are.. enormous :-))

Now, we just gotta get that chest hair back!

Awesome job as always! I didn't even notice the lack of his wonderful chest hair. I wonder why in the world they'd have him shave it again?? Bakula gets to keep his! :-(

OH that goofy grin he gives her when she pretty much gives him the "green light" for the future.

And the song lyric from "Oklahoma" had me laughing so hard and loud at work, I got looks from co-workers. Inspired and perfect. I couldn't get that song outta my head for the rest of the day.

I donno, I kinda like the lack of chest hair! the presence of chest hair makes him seem older to me... I don't want older, i want younger! young and sexy! But yeah I loved how T'Pol left it open that they could have a romantic relationship, while to Archer, in ANIS, she basically 'Well I'm GLAD we CAN'T have a relationship' This made me smile and giggle! Smiley giggles are fun!

It might be because I'm either: A) a trip/t'poler B) never seen one C) both, that it's pecans. Just a suggestion.

What's even more so intresting is that the two are building quite a bond of trust, it's going to be intresting to see where this goes

Hey! I need to point out a couple of things that seemed unrelated at the time, but now?
To get to the point, didn’t Trip say that he lived not far from the Vulcan compound while at the Academy, and say something about great parties at the Vulcan compound or could he have really meant near the Vulcan compound. I also believe that T’pol slipped out of the compound one night, and into a club nearby. That she sat down in a dark corner of the place, and was unwilling to talk about what happened after that, simply saying that she went back to the compound. Refusing to admit that anything else happened. Even to the point of fighting a mind-meld. So what am I getting at? Well, it just sounds like Trip and T’pol may have met long before she reported to the Enterprise. Though Trip might not have realized that she was a Vulcan at the time (In the club that is!) while she would have remembered perfectly which would explain why she turned away from him when they first met in the Captains office/Stateroom. One possible explanation might be that Trip (In spite of having a few drinks) may have rescued her from being picked-up by some jerk. She pretended to be human and they had a pleasant if not intimate evening together. Of course this would not be something she would want to admit to, and possibly try hard to cover it up. I’d like to know what everyone else thinks.

Hi, Michael, and welcome! I believe Trip lived near the Vulcan compound when he first joined Starfleet, which would have been several years before T'Pol lived in the Vulcan compound. I thought the same thing, though, that they may have known each other.
