I know you don't think this chair is important, but it is. The Cap'n should never feel his chair is a pain in the ass.






I asked the Commander for help, but he became...agitated...even for him.


Pay attention, Lieutenant! I want to know what's wrong with Commander Tucker.


Hmm, the odd behavior isn't limited to Commander Tucker. (And the subtext is: *I'm just so focused on him I immediately knew something was wrong. Not want to cater to my whims? Since when?*)

And, at the request of stub:

Reed: One minute 49 seconds.
Trip: *Yeah, whatever.*

A whole mess of folks have made comments

great story, great lines and lot's of great shots..

i already have one for the second sequence up above where trip is able to run t'pol off the bridge.

"vulcans have all this mental focus and discipline" trip

"we also have sensitive hearing" t'pol who at first seems to think that trip is teasing with her again..

well the shot here i wish you would get was when trip looks toward the closed elevator doors.

now the one with trip and t'pol in her quaters was my second favorite in the show ( the first being the fights on the bridge)

here you have trip being called to visit t'pol in her quaters.
and instead of going yipee he gets all snarky again/

"i dont have time to cater to your whims" he sez..

not only is he getting snarky he really concerns t'pol when he declines her invitation to hang around and help her work from her quaters
(maybe she should have offered him milk and cookies while dressed in red burgandy silk)

all tpol can do is look at him both concerned and puzzled while asking very softly "are you feeling well commander"

pookha! I'm in the middle of putting the pictures up right now! I may not be able to add any more until after work tonight - I was just trying to get something in place this morning.

i know i know..
pookha is just trying to be helpful..
and it is fun watching them appear

Anyone notice that Trip apparently dropped what he was doing to rush to T'Pol's quarters? He heard 'urgent' but she said 'important.' Makes ya wonder if he's always willing to bend over backwards for his favorite Vulcan, hmm?

And while we're on the topic of wondering what goes on, how often does T'Pol ask him to her quarters anyway? Maybe this is how she knows Crewman Fuller is discreet.

I'm reaching here, folks.

i was really prepared to hate this episode when i first read the spoilers...
i mean trip obsessing over the captains chair
really!

but i liked how they handled it. they didnt obsess over the stuff you expected (well except for malcolm) but rather had their attention at the time the radiation first affected them.

it wasnt even trip's choice to work on the chair in the first place.. he would rather
a) follow t'pol
b) clean out the plasma manifold again

but no archer wanted the chair fixed first.

some of the things you notice about trip and t'pol along the way..

i think t'pol is pretty used to trip responding to the first time she calls him.
she seemed a little suprised on the bridge when he didnt respond right away.
she was even more suprised when he went back to drilling.. but she seemed to think he was just in some mood (maybe because the captain thought this was the most important thing trip could do at the moment)so she surrenders the field.

she goes away and bides her time till she finds an excuse to call him.

i think stub is right. this was about the only time that trip goes to some other part of the ship without the chair being the cause.

in fact he seemed to be in a pretty decent mood until he saw that she at wanted him to install the sensors for her.

you almost wonder if "urgent" is some kind of code word between them.

i still dont think anything romantic is happening between the two yet but i have a feeling they get together alot in t'pols quaters.

mostly to talk ship and first officer stuff and maybe she is teaching trip to mediatate.
really except for this episode he has been a lot calmer since shockwave.

hmm maybe she had a little heart to heatt talk with him after shockwave like..
you must really do something about your impulsive behavior. i dont want to see you shot down in front of me.
maybe you do need to mediatate to help you deal with this.

and even though trip seemed to be put out while he was on the bridge he still moved the chair to engineering to protect her to sensitive ears.

that she mostly wanted him to do a chore for her and she didnt appreciate his moving the chair really set him off.

and does any one else think that t'pol was trying to clue him in that he would be welcome to stay after he helped to install the sensor.
she gave him this look when she said she wanted to work from her room.

but instead he just throws out more insults and storms away in a huff leaving a very concerned and puzzled t'pol in his wake.

and instead of going to archer who has the baggage of being both trip's friend but also commanding officer she goes to his other friend
malcolm.

without revealing to much (like just how insulting he was) she asks mal if he had noticed anything about trip.

and as the caption noted that is when she looks at malcolm with the realization this is even more wide spread.

some one else where asked how trip was on the bridge at the end..
well he was still on the bridge from earlier (the fight) or she went and carried him up there to keep an eye on him..

pookha, I looked for the shot you wanted, but I didn't see Trip looking at the elevator after T'Pol got on it and the doors closed. Let me know exactly where it is and I'll capture.

Hey myst! Can you capture Trip's expression after Malcolm tells him took 1:49 to get to the bridge? That facial expression cracked me up. It's almost as good as the Begging Look.

I know it's not a T/T thing, but it's a Trip thing and that's half the battle. :)
