These pictures make me feel that another ship is starting! I'm reminded of KPhilips' parody "A Momentary Lapse". At least Soval has stopped sneering. In so many of the other pictures I've seen of this season, it seemed that Gary Graham had invented an expression he was proud of and he was going to use it, come what may. I am glad that they have given Soval some depth as a charater other than a grumpy disaproving-of-everything guy. I hope he becomes one of the core characters of the series like Seven of Nine did in the fourth year of the Voyager series. In this episode when Soval said he had come to have an afinity for humans, and Trip answered that you never could have guessed that, to which Soval replied "thank you" -- it reminded me of the old repartee between McCoy and Spock. LOL, SKB! So, is the new expression a good thing or a bad thing. And is Soval going to try to steal Trip away from T'Pol? What about Amanda!
It's sad but true - Soval and Trip had more quality interaction in this ep that Trip and T'Pol this season! On 01 December 2004 at 02:03 PM Sparky said:
On a scifi message board that I belong to I and other posters often refer to Soval as Ambassador Prune Juice and have offered advise on how to alleviate his 'problem'.Looks like the 'problem' has alleviated itself- I LIKE this Soval and he's rapidly become my favorite Ent. Character-sorry Phlox! Here's hoping he become a regular and not just a guest character. On 01 December 2004 at 06:33 PM Selek said:
I couldn't agree more. It would be so cool to have Soval on board the Enterprise from now on. He's always been my favourite character from Day 1. I can hardly wait for the next episode in this series! On 14 April 2005 at 10:35 PM Linda said:
On visiting these pictures again, I thought that the Vulcan cityscape could belong to Gotham City, you know, like in a Batman movie. But I like it anyway. Those pointed towers almost could be an unconscious allegory on the ears of the inhabitants. The Vulcan building that I like best, however, is T'Les's house in the episode 'Home".
