Commander Tucker and Sub Commander T'Pol had been working in the ship's computer lab for the better part of nine hours. The captain had given them the task of coming up with a suitable upgrade to the sensor array that would allow them to avoid returning to Earth. He needed his answer by morning and that meant the two officers were pulling an all-nighter. After nine hours hunched of a computer console both officers were anxious to complete their assignment.

"So what do you think?" Tucker asked

T'Pol's eyes passed once more over the information in front of them.

"It appears to be the most promising of all the design upgrades ." she said "I believe the Captain will find the modification parameters acceptable as will Starfleet"

"Thank God" said Trip Tucker "What time is it?"

T'Pol looked up at the Commander not needing to check a time piece "0133 hours."

T'Pol shifted in her seat and gave the data one final examination before saving the design to file.

"All right...well, let's finish up here and then we can pack it in" said Trip "I'm beat."

T'Pol merely nodded and continued her work.

As he leaned in close to look at the data files she was saving he suddenly caught a gentle but pleasant scent. He had noticed it before. It was the smell of her skin and sweat through a soft almost sweet deodorant. Normally he would not have given it more than a few seconds thought, but right here and right now in the late hours and the dark closed in area of the computer lab it seemed to make his whole body tingle. He pulled his eyes from the monitor and watched her face as she focused on her work. His eyes followed the contours of her features. She was so close that he could see the muscles in her face move as she tightened her jaw in that way he always found irresistible. His eyes followed her jaw line up to the tips of her exquisite ears and back down to the nape of her neck which disappeared under the fabric of her uniform. Her sudden voice snapped him out of the revelry.

"That completes the files we have worked on." she said. "They have been saved to the ship's computer and I have made a copy on this disk for the Captain to review."

She handed the disk to Tucker who stood up and put it in his breast pocket. He then stretched himself out trying to get the kinks out of his back. T'Pol looked up and watched him. She knew he had been watching her. She disliked it when he did so. It thoroughly annoyed her.... an emotion T'Pol was not willing to admit to, but one that Trip Tucker seemed to have uncanny ability to bring out in her.

"Ok, well...we can take this to the Cap'n in the morning." he said patting the disk in his breast pocket.

"Very well Commander." she said "Good night."

"Nite." he said and turned to leave, but changed his mind and turned back around.

Doing so just as T'Pol rose from her chair. The cramped space of the lab afforded little room to maneuver and it put the two officers face to face mere inches from one another. His eyes met hers and the air between them seemed to become electrically charged. Trip studied her face, looking for any indications of what was going through her Vulcan mind. Behind her stoic features he saw something else...apprehension? ...curiosity?...maybe even a hint of excitement. Neither pulled away from the other's gaze. Slowly, they leaned towards each other. Their lips touched gently in an innocent and chaste kiss like two children exploring feelings for the first time. He pulled back and studied her expression. To his surprise she did not make any attempt to move or ask him to do so. He leaned in to kiss her again.

"Commander..." she said as she pulled back.

Her eyes stayed focused on his, but they were not harsh. Rather they were soft and gentle, but had questions behind them.

"Am I gettin the wrong signals T'Pol?" he said softly.

"I..." she didn't...couldn't finish.

They looked at each other for what seemed an eternity. Tucker leaned in close to her, and waited for her to step back. When she didn't, he brushed his lips slowly over hers.

"Kiss me" he whispered into her ear.

His hot breath on her sensitive Vulcan ear sent a chill down her spine. She lifted her mouth to his and opened it to him invitingly. He slipped a hand behind her head and deepened their kiss. She responded by running a hand down the front of his chest down to his waist, lightly passing over his hard muscles as she did. She exhaled sharply and pulled away from him.

"Trip..." she said as she turned away from him not wanting to show her lack of composure. The mere fact that she was letting him touch her defied everything that was Vulcan, but what was worse was how she reveled in it the hot passion she was feeling.

He placed his hands on her hips and slipped them hand around to her stomach pulling her back against his muscular chest. He planted a delicate kiss just below her ear. This caused her to arch into him. Her gasp brought a wicked smile to his face.

"Trip...we can't..." she started, but made no attempt to stop him.

"We can't what?" he asked as blew into her ear. "You mean this?" He moved both his hands to unfasten her top two clasps.

He could hear her breathing grow quick and raged. He took hold of her wrists and spun her around so she faced him once again. He knew she had the physical strength to resist him, but the smoldering look in her eyes told him that she was as helpless as he was to the feelings, which stirred within them. His hands started for the rest of the clasps of her uniform He slid her one piece jumpsuit to the floor exposing her undergarments. He bent down and placed a kiss above her navel. She felt her knees go weak and she braced herself against the computer console.

She began to unzip his own jumpsuit as she placed kisses along the edge of his mouth. She caressed his bottom lip with her lips; sucking and tugging at it passionately.

"Maybe...Maybe we should continue this somewhere else." he said raggedly

"Trip" she breathed heavily. "Right here...right now."

She wanted him so badly. She couldn't wait another second. She caught her breath as he laid her on the ground. She reached for his zipper as he positioned himself on top of her. With mounting passion, they tore at what little clothing remained. She gave herself to him like no Vulcan ever has. Emotion swelled in her and mixed with her heady desire. Soon, they were both entwined in the ecstasy of each other. Thrusting and feeling until neither could stand anymore. Trip Tucker felt the thunder of his own orgasm overtake him. His throws of passion sent T'Pol over the edge into her own ecstasy as she cried his name.

The two lay together entwined in each others limbs, breathing heavily, drenched with sweat, and completely exhausted. He smiled at her as he gently brushed his lips across hers.

"You know" he said "they say that people who argue all the time are secretly attracted
to one another."

"An interesting theory." she said

"Yeah, maybe we should argue some more." he said

"I have a better idea." she said.

She pulled him close and kissed him passionately. Trip tucker met her kiss for kiss as they laid with each other on the computer lab floor. The two had become one for a brief moment. Both had given in to that which they had denied each other and themselves. Tomorrow would be a new beginning for them both.
